Jasdev Singh Sandhu Foundation
Jasdev Singh Sandhu Foundation (JSSF) was founded in the year 2001 by S. Tejinder Pal Singh Sandhu in sweet memory of his father S. Jasdev Singh Sandhu to fulfill his cherished dream of empowering the people with education in order to uplift, specially the rural masses and the downtrodden to improve their quality of life and make them capable of contributing towards the socio-economic development of the state and the nation. The foundation at present is successfully running many pioneering educational institutes at Jasdev Singh Sandhu Campus situated at Kauli, Patiala (Punjab) on Patiala – Chandigarh Highway about 6 kilometers from Punjabi University Patiala.
Today this foundation has become a renowned name for providing quantity as well as quality education in the field of professional education such as technical education, teacher education due to management’s clear vision as today Jasdev Singh Sandhu Campus, which is located in the outskirts of Patiala city, is blessed with Jasdev Singh Sandhu College of Education (JSSCE), Jasdev Singh Sandhu Degree College (JSSDC) & Jasdev Public School (JPS). Jasdev Singh Sandhu College of Education (JSSCE) & Jasdev Singh Sandhu Degree College (JSSDC) are affiliated to Punjabi University, Patiala and are well known teacher education & Under graduate & Post Graduate coruses, running successfully in the 15 th & 5 th year of their existence. Jasdev Public School (JPS), which is affiliated to Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi, targets to prepare students who can compete in today’s modern world and is achieving 100% results every year since 2001.
Multifarious activities which include educational trips, field trips, sports activities, literary events, extension lectures, workshops, conferences, seminars and various competitions are being taken up in these institutions, resulting in the development of wholesome personality of the students. A large number of placements of the pass outs from these institutions in the private, public and government organizations is itself an evidence of the fact that management, principals and staff members of the foundation always strive towards achieving excellence in educational as well as co-curricular activities. All the institutes, on this spacious, lush green campus with natural surroundings, are having state of the art infrastructure with well furnished, airy and spacious building. These institutions possess fully equipped workshops, science and language laboratories, updated and properly managed libraries and, of course, modern class rooms. This group of institutes has a fleet of buses to ferry students from various near and far away areas.
